Norman Renouf resides in Richmond, Virginia, and was born and educated in England. From 1962-89 he was employed by a variety of financial institutions in the U.S. and U.K. before embarking on a professional career as a freelance travel writer and photographer. He is the author of three full-length guides on Spain, including Spain and Portugal by Rail, Daytrips Spain and Portugal, and Spain by Car: A Comprehensive Guide to Places to Stay Along the Major Roads. He has recently authored Romantic Weekends: Virginia, Washington, D.C. & Maryland.
